OMG ive just found this! dave you varmit writing great stuff and not telling me sheesh! Its my birthday today! and ive got a bandaged up foot after i stood on glass so i cant do ANYTHING!!! Dave its good to read again, now i have 2 more to read mwahahahha!

Glad to see Gunnison wiped off the map. Not exactly my favorite place.
Only one complaint (and this is coming from a local, so maybe I’m a little too obsessive here…) Who goes hiking in the winter? She’s even more nuts if she’s doing THAT alone! Of course, she’s dead, so it doesn’t matter…

Thanks for the salutations, everybody.
Yes, we’re back, and we’re in full effect. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, same as in town.
If there’s any confusion going on, let me explain a few things. This new novel is a prequel to “Monster Island”. If you are a new reader, welcome! And don’t worry–you can start here without knowing anything about MI; this is an all-new, standalone story.
For those of you who read MI, please be aware that this one begins BEFORE the Epidemic has started. Oh, things are already in motion here but the general public still thinks of zombies as something you see in the movies. There have been no official zombie sightings before the events of this chapter. The year is 2005, and nobody is scared yet. Not like they should be. Enjoy!

It’s back! I thought I missed it last week for some reason but I’m glad to be here for another great begining! The setting in California should be cool too, I lived there for a few multi-month stretches. If anyplace is unready for all (zombie) hell to break loose, California is it!

Great start Dave! I love the idea of people being totally unaware of the Zombie-problem that surrounds them (a la Shaun of the Dead). I can’t wait until Friday but what was that comment up above about Raptor Man? Is that the guy who writes that other Zombie story? Sorry I haven’t posted anything anywhere for a while but I’ve been looming in the shadows waiting for this continuation…

Nice opening, definatley looking forward to friday, weirdly I actually sat at work browsing the previous book in the vain hope that something had happened and then not 2 hours later I get the email pointing me to this episode.
